Join us for a day of site visits along the Gila River in Maricopa County near Buckeye, Arizona. We will visit several tamarisk-dominated sites and other areas in various stages of restoration. Presentations will be given by Maricopa County Flood Control District, the City of Buckeye, AZ Game & Fish, Stillwater Sciences and Tamarisk Coalition.
We will meet at Buckeye City Hall at 7:30 for coffee and pastries and depart at 8am to visit four sites that morning, returning to City Hall for lunch around 12pm. We will depart for one more site visit at 1pm and return to City Hall by 3pm.
Lunches will be generously provided by the City of Buckeye, so please register if you plan to attend and let us know if you need to cancel so we can keep catering in line with attendance.
The City of Buckeye is also providing three vans for carpooling. Please indicate on your registration if you would like to ride in a van; seats will be given to the first 30 people who register.
There is NO cost for this associated site visit day.
