Northwest Colorado Riparian Restoration Workshop

Join us for a free action-packed day of restoration speakers and field tours of restoration sites in the Rangely/Meeker area! 

Speakers will include Matt Scott, Weed Control Supervisor for Rio Blanco County and others sharing tools and information on topics including:

  • Introduction to Riparian Ecology & Restoration, Why Restore, Overview of Key Elements & Considerations in Restoration 
  • Methods of Woody Invasive Control – Russian Olive & Tamarisk 
  • Identification and Methods of Secondary Weed Control
  • Considerations, Realities and Case Studies in Riparian Restoration
  • Local Resources to Help with Riparian Restoration

The morning will be spent in the classroom hearing from speakers, with the field tour of restoration sites beginning after lunch where restoration methods used on sites and lessons learned will be discussed.

*Workshop is FREE and includes a free lunch, but you must register to attend!
