Sponsored by Central Arizona Project, Freeport-McMoRan, Stillwater Sciences, AZG&F, and SWCA, Tamarisk Coalition is providing a workshop on the tamarisk beetle. This one day workshop will cover information on all aspects of the tamarisk beetle and its movement into southern Arizona. Topics covered will include the history, introduction, spread, and monitoring of the beetle, potential effects to wildlife - including the southwestern willow flycatcher and yellow-billed cuckoo, successful riparian restoration techniques, permitting for restoration, and a glimpse at the possible future of riparian ecosystems in southern Arizona with the beetle as a permanent component.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, the workshop will be free to all attendees, with materials and lunch provided.
